Advisory: Summit On The Economy
Newmarket-Aurora MPP Frank Klees will be hosting a special meeting on the economy for Newmarket and Aurora business owners.
"This 'Summit on the Economy' will be open to all business owners operating in the communities of Newmarket and Aurora and will provide a forum for practical input on what the provincial government should be doing to support business during this time of economic turmoil," said Klees. "Just as important is advice on what the government should NOT be doing.”
Klees has called on the government to strike a non-partisan Select Committee of the Legislature to solicit input from business owners on how to best deal with the challenges faced by small and medium sized businesses, but the idea has been dismissed by the Premier.
"If the Premier doesn't want to give the hard working business owners who create jobs in our communities an ear, then I will," said Klees. "And I'll ensure that their ideas and recommendations are heard by the government.”
The meeting is scheduled to take place on:
Wednesday, November 5th, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am,
at the Aurora Town Hall at 1 Municipal Drive, Aurora, the
Holland Room.
Anyone interested in attending is asked to register with Klees' office by calling 905 750 0019 or
