Proposed Local Generation Peaking Power Plan
I have consistently supported the need for a local peaking plant, I have also maintained that the plant must be sited where it will have the least impact on residents and on the local environment.

I can assure you that my position has not changed.Click here to read my remarks during debate in the legislature that should help to clarify my position. I will continue to advocate for a location that will not encroach on the quality of life of our residents. There can be no justification for locating it near existing residential development. It would be irresponsible to do so given the number of identified sites available where residential development does not come into play.
